The iconic Winter Night Markets are back and dare we say it, it’s bigger than ever!
Every Wednesday from now until the end of August, head on down to the Queen Victoria Market and experience a night filled with fine food, wine, music and much more!
With over 30 food trucks featuring cuisine from all around the world, you’ll probably need to come back every week just to try everything! From Melbourne classics such as 400 Gradi and The Cypriot Kitchen, to Paco’s Tacos and Gumbo Kitchen, you’ll definitely find something here to whet your appetite.
Once you’ve filled up for dinner, it’s time to move onto dessert! If you take a peek at one of the many dessert trucks on hand, you’ll find sweet treats ranging from home made ice cream to cakes and pastries. We recommend the Butterlake Pancakes – you won’t be disappointed!
The Winter Night Market is also home to a variety of stores, from artisan wares to handmade trinkets and jewellery. It’s exactly what a market should be, dozens of stores selling a diverse range of goods that you never knew you needed until now.
Finally, the Winter Night Market is a great place to hang out and listen to some great local musicians. This year, the likes of Rya Park and Sol Nation are taking the stage to perform so it’s a fantastic opportunity to eat, drink and soak up some ace tunes.
The Winter Night Market is free and kid friendly! We also recommend taking public transport in if you’re in the city as parking will be hard to find. If you just so happen to be visiting Melbourne, we also have a range of accommodation options in the heart of the CBD to make your trip to the Winter Markets a breeze.
