After a place filled with delicious food options?
Head on up to the ravishing town of Rangiora. The Organic Food House serves up the freshest grub and is also a great pit stop to get your hands on their organic produce, skincare range, and even pet food. While you’re in town, make sure you stop by the Artisan by Rangiora Bakery – a café that serves delectable hand-made pastries and the finest coffee in the area – the perfect thing to warm you up during the chilly afternoons.
3. Lake Tekapo
One of the most naturally beautiful locations in New Zealand’s long list of naturally beautiful locations, Lake Tekapo is even more stunning in winter.
As the snow lightly descends, the entire area appears as if it’s been draped in a sheet of ice that leaves it glowing. The quiet, undisturbed lake brings on a sense of tranquillity, which allows you to appreciate the magnificence of nature. Photos never do this place justice, you just need to drive down and see the radiance for yourself! It’s less than a three hour drive from Christchurch, which gives you ample time to go through one of our awesome road trip playlists!
