The Magic of Merimbula

Filled with history and life, the beach side town of Merimbula is located on the far south coast of New South Wales, about two hours north of the Victorian border.

Merimbula Boardwalk

When in town, the Merimbula Boardwalk is a must do. Taking you past the lake, this easy walking path snakes over water and passes Merimbula’s famous Sydney Rock Oyster farms along the way.

TIP: If you’re in need of refreshments there’s plenty of local cafes along the way!

Magic Mountain

Family owned and operated, Magic Mountain theme park features some great activities for the whole family. With water slides, toboggan rides, mini golf, rollercoasters and go-kart racing, you could spend the whole day here.

Potoroo Palace

For the animal lovers out there, the Potoroo Palace is a must visit! Rescued and injured wildlife are brought here and nursed back to health by passionate carers. Get up close and personal with kangaroos and koalas and even have a go at feeding them! Emus also roam the fields and they are more than happy to let you approach them (if they’re in a good mood!).

The Pinnacles

If you’re after a good old fashioned hiking trail, the The Pinnacles are the way to go! A breathtaking path along rugged coastline takes you through dense forest and around the shore, with picturesque scenery around every corner.

Wheeler’s Seafood Restaurant

Finally, if you’re looking for a delicious place to eat, look no further than Wheeler’s Seafood Restaurant. The stacked menu incorporates some innovative Australian cuisine – fresh prawns, lobsters, oysters; you name it, Wheeler’s has got it!
While you’re exploring the beautiful coastal township we recommend staying at the Comfort Inn Merimbula, a hotel that boasts character and charm just like Merimbula itself.
